Al and Joanna Cockman built their home in Cantwell in 1998, followed by a cabin for friends and family in 2006. The choice to rent their guest cabin and offer winter acitivities is a natural progression in their lives.
They have lived and guided in Alaska since the early 80's. 
Al's experience includes numerous climbs on Denali, commercial dogmushing trips and whitewater raft guiding on the Zambezi in Africa.
Joanna spent many years guiding on the Nenana in Denali before starting Denali Outdoor Center with friends in 1995. This sister company offers a variety of activity and lodging options from mid-May through mid-September.
